McHenry IDPA – Match Registration is Changing

Starting with the first match in December, McHenry IDPA matches will no longer be available through Eventbrite. We will be moving registration, squadding and payment into Practiscore.

Please visit our Practiscore page at: and make sure to hit the ‘Follow’ button.
The process will be that once registration is open, you will register and pay for the match and then wait for approval to squad. Once the approval process is complete, you will receive a notice that you are cleared for squadding and you can go back in and pick your squad. We will be able to post the stages within the practiscore match for all to review and download.
General registration for matches will open at 8:00pm the Sunday before the match and close at 8:00pm the Tuesday before the match.
Memberships are available and benefits include reduced match fees, early registration and member-only events…ask us about joining.
We  have spent a lot of time planning out the changeover but assume that there will be a hiccup or two along the way and ask for your patience when/if they occur.
We will only continue to send out email reminders for the first month or two, but every match link will still be posted on our website and our FaceBook page
We are excited about this move and the benefits it gives to our club and shooters.

Welcome to McHenry Shooting Sports!

Thank you for your interest in McHenry Shooting Sports IDPA & USPSA!

We run an IDPA match on the second Wednesday and USPSA match on the fourth Wednesday of every month at Northshore Sports Crystal lake . Pre-registration is required and walk-ins will be turned away without exception. We appreciate that there is strong demand for defensive pistol competition in our area and strive to support that interest; however due to capacity constraints, our matches fill up very quickly. There are not enough slots available to accommodate all interested shooters, and we are sorry if you are not able to register.

Prior experience in shoot on the move or action pistol competition, and/or formal training in drawing from a holster and shooting on the move is required to participate or become a member. We reserve the right to refuse participation if you cannot provide evidence of this, or if you are shooting in an unsafe manner. We are no longer holding New Shooter Orientation.

There are many classes that qualify for this requirement, including Northshore Sports Holster Drills class. A calendar of their classes can be found here.

General pre-registration will start at 8 AM the Wednesday preceding each match.
Match announcements for members will be sent via e-mail two Fridays before the match.  All registration runs though Practiscore and upcoming matches are posted there as well.
